CBITS Learning Collaborative in Gulf States Print E-mail

In response to Hurricane Katrina and Rita, LAUSD Trauma Services Adaptation Center for Schools has been supporting trauma-informed services in the Gulf Region.

The aim of the CBITS Learning Collaborative is to provide training as well as ongoing services and support to several network and non-network sites. The Learning Collaborative was opened to school mental health professionals who were trained in CBITS in four separate trainings conducted in July, August, October and December, 2006. The Learning Collaborative is conducted by LAUSD TSA staff members who provide training and on going supervision to school mental health administrators, supervisors, team leaders and clinicians committed to participating in the complete collaborative cycle over the 12-14 month period. Sites currently participating in this Learning Collaboratives include: Fleur de Lis, LA Spirit, Kids in Crisis, St. Tammany and others.
